The service area is located on the A10 and can rightfully claim to be the highest service area (1.247m) in Europe! It is reachable from both directions and offers a magnificent view of the Tauern massif. The courteous service team at the restaurant reads your wishes from your eyes and promptly makes them come true. Forget the strenuous trip, treat yourself to a break and enjoy Tauernalm´s delicacies on the quiet sun terrace. Provisions for your onward journey can be found in the souvenir and provisions shop.
Tauernalm is closed from 29. June 2008. After the demolition and building an entirely new service station and restaurant,
Tauernalm will be at your service again in September 2009 approximately.
